January 31 \u2013 The Evening Call<\/span> <\/strong><\/h3>\n

Softly at even, comes the footfall of your Master.\u00a0 My day has been long and weary.\u00a0 Hearts that I have yearned over and longed for still withstand Me.<\/p>\n

I see the aged, desolate without Me.\u00a0 I see the disappointment of men and women, who in Me would find heart-satisfaction which others cannot give them.\u00a0 I see\u00a0youth crowding Me out of its work-filled, pleasure-filled days.\u00a0 And yet I wait.\u00a0 I knock,\u00a0I plead, I call, unheard, unheeded, unwanted.<\/p>\n

As I was the link between the Father and men, so now must My followers be the links between man and Me.<\/p>\n

Human Love, material aid, human understanding, and friendship must bind those for whom I yearn.<\/p>\n

Channels through which My help can flow to man truly you must be, but also the means through which man finds his groping way to Me.<\/p>\n

EVENING AND MORNING<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

O let me hear Thee speaking<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 In accents clear and still,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

Above the storms of passion,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 The murmurs of self-will.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

O\u00a0speak to reassure me,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 To hasten, or control;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

O speak, and make me listen,<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n
